Dear N.A.S.C. Softball Family,
With the fluid nature and rapidly evolving situation around the Coronavirus, we fully appreciate that it has changed the daily routines of each and every one of us. Let us start by saying that our hearts go out to the individuals and businesses that have been affected by COVID-19. We know many families in our community are feeling the impact of suddenly cancelled sports, activities, school and trips - some of which have been in the planning for a year or more. This can feel like a lot for us, and especially our kids to deal with. We hope you all do your best to keep a positive perspective, keep active and stay safe. We are being proactive in our approach given the frequency of new developments by the minute and will provide an update on league activities as time passes. We recognize that the events associated with COVID-19 have already started to have an impact on the programs we offer.
We know that softball may not be top of mind for a lot of families, but we want to encourage you to register your child for softball early so that we can begin to prepare our teams accordingly. There is no risk - if you register your child today, you will not be required to pay until a season is announced. And, to those families that have registered their child already (and paid), we want to assure you that in the event that the season is cancelled, a full refund will be issued to you. The Provincial Emergency Orders have resulted in all communities across Ontario to pull permits and close facilities for at least the month of April and May. In anticipation of running a modified season we need to have numbers. Without those it will be hard for us to plan for the upcoming season.
At this point, our plans have not changed, and we are actively and diligently working and gearing up to run our regular House League season. If you have not yet registered but would like to play this summer, please register as soon as possible at: (no payment required at this time)
